Riverside roam over the saltmarsh

A group of students from Riverside School joined us at the National Trust’s site in Saltram salt marsh and estuary. The students were looking for inspiration and ideas for a sculpture, as part of a Take A Part project designing and installing art pieces on the estate with local artists.

We visited the site that their sculpture will sit on, and learnt about the amazing range of wildlife that exists in Plymouth Sound and Estuaries European Marine Site. As well as imitating some of the common wader species feeding and singing the group went out on the salt marshes looking for wildlife and finding tracks from different animals.
