Minibeasts in the woods at Southway

Yesterday we took Beechwood Primary School students from year one and two on an enchanted woodland exploration. As well as finding oak trees over 100 years old we found harvestmen, spiders, slugs, shield bugs and spring tails which were using their fabulously adapted body to spring off the dead wood and rotten leaves they were feasting on.
