As spring is just starting to arrive we searched for signs of leaves and flowers emerging. We learnt about the different parts of a plants and the roles they play. As well as sniffing wild garlic and admiring hazel catkins we found a hosts of beast living in all the lovely rotting wood. Many children and a few (!) parents were brave enough to hold the worms, beetles, slugs, woodlice and earwigs. Finally we built two huge nest and tested them out; singing and lounging in a bed of leaves!
